Who comes first...Chicken or Egg?

Chicken and Egg are best friends who love playing together but don't like losing. In the end, Chicken and Egg learn to appreciate having fun — no matter who wins!

With minimal words and vibrant illustrations, Chicken or Egg is a sweet and simple introduction to the concepts of good sportsmanship and losing gracefully.

Also included is a Note to Parents & Other Caregivers with strategies to encourage children to focus on fun, not who comes first.

“The authors offer an empathetic message about how being first isn’t as important as being friends—and it’s more fun too.” —Publishers Weekly

Susan D. Sweet, PhD, is a clinical child psychologist and mother of two. She has worked in hospital, school, and community-based settings and is passionate about children's mental health and well-being. Susan hopes worries never overshadow anyone's dreams.
