Alice Hansen is an educational consultant. Prior to this, Alice worked in higher education as a principal lecturer in mathematics education and as the programme leader for the Primary PgCE with QTS programme. She has worked in a wide range of primary schools in England and abroad. Aliceas research interests include early years and primary childrenas mathematical thinking. Diane Vaukins is a senior lecturer / partnership tutor at the University of Cumbria. She is the module leader for the three-year undergraduate mathematics specialist course. Prior to lecturing in higher education she was a primary school teacher and deputy head teacher. She has a keen interest in working with schools to encourage creativity in mathematics.
