Did you hear Eric picks his nose?

Did you hear Alexa has eleven toes?

On the playground, between friends, or in school...gossip and playful chit-chat is a common occurrence.

This bright and active story encourages children to put themselves in another's shoes and consider the effect of their words.

Includes a Note to Parents and Caregivers that discusses the motivations behind gossip and what adults can do to combat it.

“Even though this is a book aimed at the hearts and minds of the youngest among us, the lesson is timeless and so timely right now. Budding little humans are so easily molded in their habits and ways of thinking, so it is crucial that their models be good ones. Making up stories, bullying with cruel words, spreading untruths, being oblivious to how others feel trains even the best among us to fear and to hate. Your short, sweet, simple story reminds us all that this is not the way to find happiness. And that is always a valuable lesson to learn.”
—Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill, Entertainer, Wife, Mother

“I'm so in awe of how Dr. Frank Sileo approaches this story of gossip in Did You Hear? This important topic in our society is told through an entertaining way that can truly be comprehended and absorbed by any child. The lesson is so incredibly valuable and brought to light by Sileo with such wisdom and smarts.  I also love the illustrations by Jennifer Zivoin. Each character is adorable, diverse and most of all relatable to every child that will see this book. Personally, I think it's destined to be a classic, enlightening generations to come!”
—Glenn Scarpelli, Actor, "One Day At A Time", Owner/Producer Sedona NOW TV

“In the tradition of Dr. Frank Sileo’s other award-winning children’s books, Did You Hear? A Book About Gossip is a gift to all children and the people who love them. What is remarkable about Did You Hear is that with captivating rhyming texts and delightful illustrations of adorably diverse children gossiping and listening, young readers will be drawn into the experience of gossip. They will be amused, surprised and moved to recognize that even without intending, gossip hurts. It will be hard for them to forget the precious little children in the book who learn to refuse to chat—when hearing this or that! As we struggle to give children an anchor in a culture that exposes them to so much at an early age, this story about gossip is a story they need.” —Suzanne B.
