Most of us believe that our potential for inner liberation and true freedom lies in the inner world of our capacities for thinking, feeling, and self-determined will. However, discovering how unfree we actually are has always been one of the necessary steps in awakenings on the inner development path. The foundations of our inner freedom, as well as our inner unfreedom, are greatly influenced during the years of child development. Our patterns of thinking, our feelings, and our will-impulses are all influenced directly by the community in which we grow up. With our outer lives increasingly permeated by technology, we are now faced with the effects that technology brings to bear on our inner lives, as well as its artificial influence on the development of our thinking, feeling, and willing. Technology is forming the future of our communities and, in doing so, extending its pervasive influence into our inner capacities as community members.

''We must be prepared, as a collective humanity, with capacities and inner strengths enabling us to freely choose the form of community life that we determine to be needed for the future of humanity. We need to establish communities that are dedicated to human freedom'communities in which the health of the community, the education of the child, and social life are imbued with impulses supportive of the cultivation of human freedom.'' - 'Lisa Romero

Spirit-led Community introduces spiritually healthy guidelines for lessoning the negative influence of technology on the inner life. Through providing an understanding of the foundations of inner health laid in childhood as well as the path of inner development that can be consciously engaged with as adults, a way is shown for how new community life can lead us into a future in which community serves to maintain and support the evolving human spirit.

Lisa Romero is the author of several books on inner development, a complementary health practitioner, and an adult educator who has been offering healthcare and education enriched by Anthroposophy since 1993. From 2006, the primary focus of her work has been on teaching inner development and anthroposophic meditation. Her first book on inner work is the Inner Work Path: A Foundation for Meditative Practice in the Light of Anthroposophy (2014). This was followed by three others: Developing the Self through the Inner Work Path in the Light of Anthroposophy (2015); Living Inner Development: The Necessity of True Inner Development in the Light of Anthroposophy (2016); and Sex Education and the Spirit: Understanding Our Communal Responsibility for the Healthy Development of Gender and Sexuality within Society (2017).

Through the Inner Work Path, Lisa offers lectures, courses, and retreats for personal and professional development, in communities and schools worldwide. These are offered throughout the year in communities worldwide. Lisa's capacity to deliver esoteric wisdom with insight and understanding allows her to meet the diverse needs of communities and professions. For many years, Lisa lectured on health and nutrition and male/female studies at Sydney Rudolf Steiner College, where she continues to give lectures on inner development to the tutors. Since 1999, she has been presenting on the subject of gender, sexuality, and spiritual life. She has been working with Waldorf schools as a part of their ''health and wellbeing'' curriculum, working directly with the students, teachers, and parents on this theme. Lisa has contributed to and is an adviser for the Health and Personal Development for the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework. She has developed training courses and facilitates professional development on this subject for teachers and health professionals. Lisa designed and facilitated EduCareDo ''Towards Health and Healing,'' which has offered eight-year courses focused on working with therapists from all modalities, as well as with Waldorf teachers toward cultivating the depth of anthroposophic insight through practical applications of therapeutic and pedagogical methods. Lisa Romero is a contributor, tutor, and director of Inner Work Path, EduCareDo, Developing the Self Developing the World, and the Y Project. EduCareDo is an organization facilitating long-distance self-awakening study in the foundations of Anthroposophy. Developing the Self/Developing the World offers community education, and the Y Project supports the transition of young people into healthy community life.
